수도권의 인구 및 산업의 집중화로 인하여 지방 도시들의 인구감소와 유출은 나날이 가속되고 있는 현재, 지방 도시들의 쇠퇴를 막기 위해 건축은 어떤 역할을 할 수 있을까?

| 작품설명 |
지방의 소도시는 지역 성장의 거점으로 지방 붕괴를 막기 위해 그 역할이 중요하나, 내생적 산업(1차 산업)의 쇠퇴로 인해 소도시는 붕괴되고 있다.
지방의 붕괴를 막고 내생적 산업을 다시금 활성화시키기 위해, 이번 프로젝트에서는 기존 농공단지라 불리는 산업시설을 집약적이며 고차원화 시킨 농업센터로 탈바꿈하는 프로토타입을 제시한다.
새롭게 제시하는 프로토 타입을 적용한 '정읍시 농업센터'는 주변 거주민들에게 공원 같은 휴게공간을 제공하며 산업관계자 외 도시민들과의 연계도 고려하였다

This thesis project explores a strategy to develop a large expansive area of land through a series of green strips created by the depression and uplift of the landscape. The module of the landscape strip was derived based on the programmatic needs of the agricultural center and the triangulated truss system provides structure to architecture. While the architectural solution is rather simple, the variation in spatial organization is quite complex and elegant.
